Wednesday, 15 October 2008

The T4 Project Concept Album The T4 Project : Story-Based Concept Album captures the true spirit of a punk rock revolution in this powerful collection of songs, compelling background story concept, and the impressive array of musicians called together to collaborate on this exceptionally unique and dynamic release.

Over 2½ years in the making, this exceptional concept album was conceived and independently produced on a shoe-string budget by musical visionary Shannon Saint Ryan, who astonishingly tracked multiple recording sessions, meticulously scheduled around and in between the hours he spent working a regular full-time day job.

'The T4 Project' contains 10 original songs with lyrics by Strung Out’s Jason Cruz and 8 “pseudo-commercial” interludes that surge with biting social satire and political commentary. The release also features a 24 page graphic novel story-booklet by renowned graphic artist Keith Rosson that delivers a darkly sobering yet ultimately inspiring transcendent message for the modern age.

Babysitter Wanted - Film Trailer
Tuesday, 22 July 2008

The story of Babysitter Wanted revolves around a tormented and tortured young girl whose only concern is the safety of herself and the child she is babysitting. Strange events unfold which lead to a tumultuous climax, leaving the audience hanging by their fingernails.

The film got great recognition at Cannes Film Festival last year, and has also received rave reviews from a number of Horror Film Fan and Review websites. Shot mostly in and around Northern California in the foothills of the Siskiyous and the towns of Yreka, Montague, and Redding, Babysitter Wanted drew a good number of it's crew from Southern Oregon. And many of the crew have been anxiously anticipating the release, which appears to be on the horizon now.

“We worked hard to make a horror film that had a sense of reality and at the same time would be fun for a broader audience”.
- Jonas Barnes (writer)

Victims of Ashland Sign Ordinance Speak Out
Tuesday, 24 June 2008

The City of Ashland has begun to crack down on excessive signage on the sidewalks of the downtown area. Business owners, including Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, have been targeted and many believe that it is unfair and over-reaching for the City of Ashland to attack the businesses that help make this town the tourist attraction that it is.

In this series of videos, the Bear from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory speaks out about being forced indoors by Dean Walker, Code Compliance Specialist for the City of Ashland. We also talk to the Stone Lion outside of the Black Sheep to get his reactions and Alfredo of Wiley's World of Pasta.

Summer Circus Highlights
Monday, 02 June 2008
You are the miracle we've been waiting for.
About the Summer Circus

Drive South of Grants Pass, headed towards the beaches, and you'll pass through the tiny town of Selma, Oregon.  You'll probably miss the town except for the single swinging caution light at the one intersection between a Ray's Food Market and a Shell Gas Station.  Those that are in the know, those of us that crave to be the first to hike and swim the most beautiful parts of Oregon each Spring - we've been known to hang a right at this particular Shell Station, and head 10-15 more miles down the windy, gravely, single-lane road to relax by the Illinois River.  Whether it's the beer & drugs or just the casual atmosphere, the Illinois River has been a spot for a number of universal awakenings by the culture of outdoorspeople who make it their weekend destination.

One weekend each Spring, just after the right at the Shell Station, long before you hit the river's edge, a local property owner opens up his land for an all-weekend extravaganza of music, outdoor recreation, and a barter faire to celebrate the oncoming season - The Summer Circus.  Started 4 or 5 years ago, the Summer Circus began with a small group of musicians and their close friends  taking over a stage nestled in the middle of the Siskiyous for a couple days of music and excess.
